SJO - La Fortuna

At 4pm we will make the transfer from SJO to La Fortuna.

If you arrive early, an Aventuras Costa Rica guide will meet you and take you to Atenas to wait for the transfer to La Fortuna.

If you arrive later than 4pm, we will help you with the arrangements to get to La Fortuna.

La Fortuna

After your first Costa Rican breakfast, we will make the short transfer on the bus to Lake Arenal ready for your first ride in Costa Rica.  The ride will finish at the hot springs so you can unwind.

Enjoy the rest of the day pottering around the town of La Fortuna and relax.

La Fortuna - Miravalles

Enjoy your breakfast before jumping on the bike for your ride through the beautiful hills of Volcán Tenorio and ending at Rio Celeste. Trek 7.5km along a trail where two clear-water tributaries of Rio Celeste meet to create an amazing bright blue river. After lunch you will take the scenic journey to Volcán Miravalles to enjoy relaxing in the volcanic hot springs at your hotel.

Miravalles - Rincón de la Vieja

After breakfast, you will start the ride alongside Volcán Miravalles, passing the wind farms of Mogote to Volcán Rincón de la Vieja.

After checking into your room, enjoy exploring the hotel grounds.

To end the day, join the Aventuras Costa Rica team to enjoy a beer watching the sunset over the Guanacaste plains.

Rincon de la Vieja - Nosara

You will transfer to Playa Avellanas after breakfast.  After a bit of chill time at the beach and maybe enjoying a pineapple juice, hop on to your bike and ride all the way to Nosara, where you are going to see the beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean as you roll into the laid back town of Nosara.  End the day enjoying your first Costa Rican beach sunset.

Nosara

Today is a day to relax unless you can’t sit still and then an early morning surf lesson is on the cards for you.  If you want to throw in an extra ride, the Aventuras Costa Rica team will give you some great options for rides (and will most likely be there with you!)  In the late afternoon, enjoy a bespoke yoga class focusing on flexibility and recovery.

Nosara

Start the day  with a sunrise bike ride through the jungle, up the Nosara mountains for some incredible views ending by riding along the beach.  Recharge your battery with a delicious brunch and then enjoy the rest of the day chilling or exploring Nosara.  If you want an extra yoga class or a massage you just need to let us know and we will set it up for you.

Nosara - Atenas

After breakfast you will hop on to your bike for the final time in Costa Rica and ride to Nicoya, where you are going to learn to make traditional Costa Rican tortillas. Then continue your travels to Atenas where we will enjoy our final Costa Rican meal together.

Atenas - SJO 

Your Aventuras Costa Rica guides will be there for your transfer to the international airport in San Jose.
